BAYERN STAR OPENS DOOR TO BAYERN EXIT

Bayern Munich full-back David Alaba admits he will look for a new challenge in the future.

Major clubs across Europe may have been placed on high alert after David Alaba suggested he would be open to a move away from Bayern Munich.

Reports from Spain have claimed that Barcelona are long-term admirers of the 25-year-old Austrian and the La Liga leaders have been handed a huge boost after he revealed that he has not committed his long-term future to Bayern. But the Catalans have to fight off Premier League big boys Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City

Alaba said: “I am aware that one day I will have to make a decision. I feel good here, but also it’s true that I imagine myself taking a different path, taking a step forward or looking for a new challenge.

“It’s an exit that I leave open now. At the moment, I will focus on the goals that I have set for this season. I have goals and I am going to fight for them.

“What am I going to do in the future? It’s something that I ask myself, since I do not see myself here for another five years. In football everything happens very quickly and I know that there will come a time to make a decision. However, for now I only set myself short-term goals.”

Alaba is under contract at Bayern until 2021.

Chelsea and Real Madrid lead race to sign Bayern superstar

Chelsea and Real Madrid lead race to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

Chelsea and Real Madrid lead the race to sign Robert Lewandowski this summer with the Bayern Munich striker open to a move, according to reports.

Poland legend Lewandowski boasts a stunning record with Bundesliga giants Bayern, scoring 139 goals in 181 appearances for the club in all competitions.

His future has been the subject of intense speculation for several months, however, with a number of top European clubs interested in securing his signature.

Bleacher Report say Lewandowski is open to the idea of moving this summer if the right option presents itself. It is claimed Chelsea and Real Madrid are at the front of the queue.

The experienced Poland international may see this as his final chance to make a major move and is said to have made Real his preferred destination if he does leave.

Lewandowski is valued at over £80million but Bayern have no plans to sell the striker despite interest from a host of clubs.

Manchester United have been repeatedly linked with a move for Lewandowski. But Jose Mourinho will focus on signing midfielders in the summer.

“I’m grateful that I’ve always been able to develop at the highest possible level, and that it’ll go on – and that I have the best conditions to take on an important role, in the national team too.

“My goals and the club’s goals for the coming years are very ambitious, and I want to play my part and do everything to achieve them with the team.”

Dortmund sign veteran defender on a new contract

Piszczek signs 2020 Borussia Dortmund extension.

The Polish full-back, who signed for BVB in 2010, looks set to end his career with the Bundesliga giants

Lukasz Piszczek has agreed a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund, committing himself to the Bundesliga club until June 2020.

The 32-year-old’s new terms bolt a further 12 months on to his previous deal at Signal Iduna Park, which he agreed last April. Poland international Piszczek joined Dortmund from Hertha Berlin in 2010 and has made 290 appearances in all competitions. He is one of the remaining members of the side that won back-to-back Bundesliga titles under Jurgen Klopp in 2010-11 and 2011-12.

“We are delighted to – after Marco Reus – tie another player to our club for long term who identifies absolutely with Borussia Dortmund,” said chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke.

Piszczek said: “I am not a native of Dortmund, but this club and these fans have grown so dear to me over the years that I feel like a real Borussia fan and have never felt the desire to want to leave BVB, I would like to end my career in Dortmund and look forward to many, many more emotional moments here.”

Vidal drops a hint about his Bayern future

The Chilean midfielder has attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in recent months as his future continues to be speculated about with the Bavarian giants. Vidal recently spoke about the arrival of Schalke’s contract villain Leon Goretzka, Vidal dropped a huge hint that he may not end up staying at Allianz Arena at the end of this term and offered United and Chelsea hope of signing him as a result.

He said: “I know Goretzka will arrive at the club but I don’t know where he will be playing. As for my future I don’t know if I will leave or sign a contract extension with the club. We’ve taken the right path anyway.”

The 30-year-old has only 12 months of his current Bayern deal once the 2017/18 season is about to end, and the Premier League duo hope that he decides his future very soon.

Vidal played under current Chelsea manager Antonio Conte when the pair were at Juventus but, with Conte’s own Stamford Bridge future uncertain, United have emerged as rivals to sniff in and sign the iconic midfielder.

PSG eyeing up summer move for Bayern ace

Paris Saint-Germain ‘eyeing summer move’ for Robert Lewandowski.

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to lure Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski to the French capital, according to reports in the French press.

French transfer reports claim that Les Parisiens are looking to bolster their attacking options next season by signing the Polish goalscorer.

Lewandowski is thought to be keen on a new challenge away from the Allianz Arena and is said to eyeing a switch to Real Madrid.

However, a story on Saturday has suggested that representative from PSG have been in contact with the striker’s agent and are in talks about a potential move.

Bayern, on the other hand, don’t want to see the 29-year-old leave and have him under contract until 2021 – so would command a fee in excess of €100m.

Lewandsoki controversially joined Bayern Munich from their league rivals Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer. The Polish striker could fetch a huge profit for Bavarian giants.

Thomas Tuchel reveals shocking reason behind his sacking

Ex-Dortmund Manager Thomas Tuchel Claims Bus Attack Was Catalyst Behind His Exit.

Former Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel claims Bus attack was the catalyst and so he had to leave.

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has suggested that he would still be in charge of the club had it not been for an attack on their team bus hours before a Champions League match against AS Monaco.

A number of current and former players have been giving testimony in court surrounding the attack, most notable of which has come from Marc Bartra who was injured when a bomb detonated next to the team bus.

Tuchel: “We shouldn’t have been allowed to play,

“Because of how we dealt with the attack and the fallout there was a disagreement between Watzke and me. That was part of the reason that led to us parting ways.”

“I think the biggest dissent between me and Watzke was that I was on the bus and Watzke wasn’t.”

Borussia Dortmund are already under the guidance of their second head coach since Tuchel’s exit. After former Ajax manager Peter Bosz failed, veteran boss Peter Stöger was called in to steady the ship until the end of the campaign.
